Sheffield City Council are looking for businesses and organisations who want to transform empty shops and underused spaces in the Fargate and High Street area to create long term solutions. Eligible projects could receive a grant for capital works of up to £50,000.
This is a great opportunity for social enterprises to be a part of rebuilding the footfall and help to bring Sheffield back to life in the City Centre, after Covid. The Fargate and high Street will be transformed in the next couple of years, through funding secured from Governments Future High Streets Fund, SYMCA and Sheffield City Council, and this is your opportunity to be a part of it.
Sheffield City Council has acquired 20-26 Fargate to create a brand-new cultural venue right in the centre of our city. ‘Event Central’ will include a music venue, exhibition spaces and creative and digital workspaces. The five-storey building will be home to an all-year-round programme of culture and events.
in addition to this, they are making an open call to businesses and organisations seeking to secure funding for retail, food, beverage, leisure, hospitality or arts and cultural projects.
