Sheffield Social Enterprise Network (SSEN) is expanding and we are looking for people to join our team in a range of new paid roles as part of our leadership of the Social Enterprise Growth Accelerator programme (SEGA) in Sheffield.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within our growing team and alongside our partners. You'll get to know the city’s social leaders, decision makers and key players, building lasting connections, raising the profile of social enterprise and nurturing mutual support.
SSEN is a membership based social enterprise. Our work includes our membership programme, working with partners, consultancy support, delivering events for social entrepreneurs and those working in the sector, and advocacy and representation for the sector both locally and nationally. Through the SEGA programme (details to follow shortly!) SSEN will be leading the delivery of a programme of comprehensive specialist support for the Social Enterprise sector in Sheffield.
We are advertising for the following roles, all with application deadlines of 9am on Wednesday 13th December 2023. Interviews will take place during the week commencing Monday 18th December 2023. Anticipated start date will be the week commencing Monday 15th January 2024
Network Advisor
Starting salary: £37,500 full time equivalent, £22,500 for a 21 hour working week (full time equivalent x 60 per cent).
With a focus on one-to-one specialist Social Enterprise support this is an exciting opportunity to support local Social Enterprise’s capacity to grow and be part of a core team leading a network of social enterprises and identifying new opportunities for the sector. You’ll be great at making connections, communicating messages, managing client relationships and advocating for social enterprise.
Event and Marketing Coordinator
Starting salary: £27,000 full time equivalent, £16,200 for a 21 hour work week (full time equivalent x 60 per cent).
Coordinating and promoting our network’s events, you’ll be great at making connections, public speaking, communicating messages and producing marketing materials through a range of media.
Network Administrator
Starting salary: £24,000 full time equivalent, £9,600 for a 14 hour working week (full time equivalent x 40 per cent).
You’ll be great at assisting with the smooth running of the network by providing support to senior team members, acting as the first point of contact for enquiries. You’ll be devising and implementing organisational systems to ensure the proper flow of processes and procedures and that all data is managed effectively and accessible when required.
There’s also an opportunity to combine the last two part-time roles into a full time role as follows;
